about the artist:When I first tipped my blowpipe into the hot glass in 1980 at Carnegie-Mellon University, I ignited a passion for glass ever since. I have been privileged to study glass blowing and lamp working with outstanding artists over the years. The mistakes I made and new techniques I tried always lead me to my next step or idea.
Now, over thirty years into glass my passion has not cooled. I currently own and operate Yerace Glass Studio, located in Erie, PA. I offer glass classes in both hot glass education and lamp working to both Children and Adults. See CLASSES: In the studio I create both one of a kind pieces of glass and a full line of production glass. My work is represented in Galleries in both Pennsylvania, Michigan and New York. education: The training of an artist is like building blocks that work together synergistically to create the whole artist. My training included, but is not limited to, the following: -BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh -postgraduate studies at Ohio State University -Pilchuck School of Glass in Seattle, Washington -Penland School of Crafts in Spruce Pine, NC -Corning Museum of Glass inCorning, NY -Sonoran Glass School in Tucson, AZ |
